PolySto developed a robust polyethylene logsitic kerb for Aldi's distribution centers to mitigate heavy damages in their high-traffic warehousing environments. The kerb design involves a galvanized L-profile, which is firmly anchored to the construction floor using M16 anchors. On top of this L-profile, a single or double layer of PE500 kerb is installed. This kerb, made of high-strength polyethylene, is designed to withstand significant impacts and is secured in place using hexagonal bolts at 50 cm intervals. This setup provides a durable and effective barrier against the wear and tear typical in busy warehouse settings, ensuring the longevity and safety of the infrastructure.
